BACKGROUND:

Mr. Vincent Amejuma Uduaghan was born in Ogharafe, Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government Area in Delta State. He hails from Abigborodo town in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.

He had his Primary Education at Oburhie Primary School Oghara between 1973-1979 and his Secondary School Education at Ogini Grammar School from 1980-1985. After his Secondary Education, Mr. Vincent Uduaghan secured employment as a Material’s Man in the then Gulf Oil Company which later metamorphosed into Chevron Nigeria Limited. Determined to conquer his interest in education, after early stage of work, he gained admission into the Delta State University Abraka to study Political Science, bagging his first degree B.Sc in Political Science. He did not stop there; he immediately went for his Master’s Degree in Public Administration in the same Ivory Tower while doing this, he has already started his business outfit.

As a man that has strong penchant and soft spot for education, Mr. Vincent Uduaghan enrolled for a Master’s Degree programe in Political Science/International Relations in the same University. A feat he achieved in December, 2011 with the award of M.Sc. in Political Science/International Relations.

CAREER

Mr. Vincent Uduaghan, during his short days of his services to Chevron Nigeria Limited, he impacted tremendously on his employers and fellow employees at work. He was never found wanting, he was outstanding on his assigned job before he left Chevron meritoriously. He later ventured into another career of his life, “POLITICS”. His interest in politics saw him emerged as a one-time Public Relations Officer of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Warri South Local Government Area. He was also a three-time Board of Directors in the Delta State Urban Water Board, Asaba.

He is a shrewd and an astute business man especially in the Oil and Gas sector of the economy where he holds sway. He is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of VINOT Oil and Gas Ltd. VINOT Integrated Services Ltd and VINOT Marine. These organizational Outfits have provided and created employments in no small measures for youths in the area/community.

He also excels in the areas of charity and philanthropy, a feat that has seen and assisted many youths to achieving their dreams either in educational or through vocational and also skill acquisition. This immense feat can also be attested to by large armies of people in the area.

He has received so many awards as a result of his selfless services to humanity, prominent among these awards are, “The Niger Delta Student Government on Humanity (NIDSUG)”. The most outstanding Politician in Warri South Local Government Area of the year – 2013 by Warri Voice Newspaper.

His interest in sport especially lawn-tennis stood him out as one of the pillars of sports in Warri South/Warri North Local Government Areas and beyond. He has sponsored so many law tennis tournaments in Warri South Local Government Area of the State and beyond. One of such kind was the just concluded “Vincent Uduaghan Lawn Tennis Tournament” held at Warri City Club, Warri. This is also another feat that attracted an award of excellence in sports to him by the Monarch of Warri Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Atuwatse II (CON).

He also belongs to many professional bodies; he is a member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). He is a fellow, Institute of Industrialist and Corporate Administrators (FIICA). A member of National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas (NUPENG), A member of the Independent Marketers Association of Nigeria (IMAM), A socialite that belongs to Warri Club and Shell Club respectively. He is presently the President of Warri Club.

He was one time a Senior Assistant to the erstwhile Governor of Delta State on NDDC Matters.

He is presently the Commissioner for Transport

He is happily married with children.
